Handheld Video Game Devices

The year now is 2013 and 2014 is about to start
Today's date is Friday 30 of August. The Nintendo Wii U virtual console Entertainment System is out and selling for a while already.

The competitor PlayStation 3 4 5 6 Xbox Live, Xbox one, 560 etc. They are also catching millions of fans who buy them every day without price limitations.

The original electronic handheld game consoles of the late 1970s & early 1980s were capable of playing only a single game at a time, the 1st ones being the 1976 releases of Auto Race and Football by Mattel, the LCD-based Microvision by Smith Engineering (distributed by Milton-Bradley) in 1979, a series of electronic games designed by Gunpei Yokoi and released by Nintendo beginning in 1980.

And the Game Boy, Atari Lynx, NEC TurboExpress, Bitcorp Gamate, Sega Game Gear, Watara Supervision, Hartung Game Master, Atari Lynx II in late 1980s through the early 1990s.

In late 1990s the Game Boy Color was released, followed by Mega Duck / Cougar, Sega Nomad and Tiger Game.com, Neo Geo Pocket Color and WonderSwan Color.

In 2001, Nintendo released the Game Boy Advance & Game Park released Game Park 32 (GP32) All in the year 2004 Tapwave released the Zodiac, Nintendo released Nintendo DS, Nokia produced N-Gage QD, TimeTop made Game King and Sony Computer Entertainment marketed PlayStation Portable PSP.

Then, of course we have the Apple iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad in 2008
Zune HD in 2009 and OpenPandora's Pandora that began taking pre-orders November 2008 and finally began shipping to customers on May 21, 2010 and that is what I currently play on, as well as my DSi XL I cannot wait for the stunning Nintendo's 3DS (invented by Hideki Konno, who also developed Mario Bros 2).

Will be out in early 2011 and will have real 3D graphics and no glasses are required, Power Up to awesome new technology! Also, I am looking forward to Lego Star Wars III:
The Clone Wars Video Game at around the same time for my Nintendo Wii.
